Emedia srl, the foremost Italian retail information display systems provider has partnered with Cameron Thomson Group, a leading international media business development and finance company headquartered in Toronto, Canada, to create a new in-store media company to market and distribute its state-of-the-art video display totems and digital signage systems.

The new venture, which will be known as CTG Mediaworks and headquartered in Toronto will provide leading North American brands, retailers and facilities the latest in visual merchandising display technologies. The product lineup includes Digital Signage, Touch Interactive Retail Systems, Audio Retail Systems and MediaStation, an in-store visual media platform that enables brand messages to be communicated across a network of screens at any time, any place, anywhere using cloud technology, controllable by the brand, retailer or information source provider at a click of a button in real time.

“We are excited by the opportunity to establish CTG Mediaworks in the North American marketplace”, says Ronald W Thomson, CEO of Cameron Thomson Group and CEO of CTG Mediaworks. “The convergence of sophisticated in-store media messages along with competitively priced, impactful and informative media display systems will enable brands and retailers to better inform and target consumers at the point of purchase and decision-making. As branded entertainment expands across film and TV, the ability to translate this and connect with consumers at retail becomes ever more important.“

Emedia Regional CEO Davide Negri remarks: ”Our joint venture partnership comes at an exciting time in our growth. Europe has been a strong market for media display systems, with over 500 key installations led by brands such as Pfizer, Timberland and Zara.  Our partnership in North America enables us to build on this success and provide retailers, brands, transportation systems and other consumer facing organizations the ability to provide rich, informative and entertaining content to support the information, sales or buying process.”

The product lineup also includes large format touch screen technologies, integrated in-store music and announcement systems and digital promotional media management  systems. CTG Mediaworks will leverage Cameron Thomson Group’s and Emedia presence in Canada, United States, UK and Italy for sales, support and distribution.
