Orlando, FL – At the InfoComm 2011 trade show, LG Electronics USA showcased its expanded range of digital display solutions tailored to meet the challenging requirements of various digital out-of-home vertical markets. LG’s extensive portfolio, including award-winning signage solutions, touch screens, 3D displays, multipurpose projectors, and more, aims to deliver innovative and attractive options for commercial environments.

Innovative Digital Signage Solutions

In its expansive booth (2543), LG introduced the EzSign TV, a groundbreaking out-of-the-box digital signage system that integrates live TV. Additionally, LG unveiled its next-generation Network Monitor, designed for flexible PC-over-IP zero client virtual computing, catering to educational, healthcare, and corporate applications.

“LG’s broad technology portfolio is designed to create an interactive and engaging experience that provides real business value through improved customer interactions,” said Y.K. Cho, Senior Vice President of Commercial Displays at LG Electronics USA. “With our 3D, touch, and turnkey solutions, LG has created a robust product line that is as intuitive and user-friendly as it is effective.”

Cutting-Edge Display Technologies

LG featured its latest technologies across a variety of product categories:

  • LG CINEMA 3D LED Displays: Offering a cinematic 3D experience with LED backlighting, LG’s commercial-grade passive 3D LED HDTV utilizes “FPR” 3D technology and comfortable polarized eyewear, similar to movie theaters.
  • Versatile Display Sizes: The lineup includes flat panels from 23-inch to 65-inch class sizes. Highlighting large installations, LG showcased a 3×3 matrix LED video wall with nine 47-inch class 47WV30 LED monitors, each with a super narrow 6.3mm bezel-to-bezel frame for a seamless display.
  • Interactive Touch Screens: In collaboration with Horizon Display, Kristel, and Tech Global, LG’s touch-screen displays, available in 32-inch, 47-inch, and 52-inch class sizes, engage users in dynamic ways, such as navigating directions in hotel lobbies or accessing news on campus.

Simplified Signage Solutions

LG’s SuperSign Premier-s is an all-in-one signage solution for small- and medium-size businesses (SMBs). It includes an LG flat panel display, a monitor stand, a Peerless® ST650 wall mount, and the LG NC2000 media player, which offers content management software with more than 50 templates and various media feeds. This cloud-based solution allows SMBs to easily update and manage content remotely.

The SuperSign Elite-s platform is designed for system integrators, compatible with select LG displays and NC1000 or NC2000 media players. It enables dynamic content creation and comprehensive display control.

Versatile Projectors and Advanced Video Conferencing

LG demonstrated the flexibility of its commercial projectors with innovative setups like the “edge blending” technique, which aligns three HW300Y LED projectors for a uniform image across a curved screen. Additionally, LG’s BW286 XGA DLP® short-throw projector combined with Smart Board technology showcased interactive educational applications.

LG introduced two new premium video conferencing systems (VCS) at InfoComm:

  • V5500: A multipoint system connecting up to four remote locations.
  • V5000: A one-to-one system for connecting two locations.

Both models feature user presence identification, one-touch dialing, and simple camera angle switching, enhancing connectivity and user experience.
