In case if you missed

3M MultiTouch M2256PWDiversified technology company 3M will demonstrate its comprehensive range of touch screen technologies alongside new interactive projection solutions on Stand #11C58 at ISE 2011, 1-3 February, Amsterdam RAI. Stand highlights will include a 32-inch 3M Multi-Touch prototype, the 22-inch 3M Multi-Touch Display M2256PW, an all-in-one projection system and new, market-leading pocket projector models.

Innovative Touch Screen Products

The revolutionary Multi-Touch Display M2256PW features ultra-fast, 20-plus finger multi-touch input and a high-definition, wide viewing-angle LCD. The display delivers performance designed to exceed the requirements of the most demanding professional applications, including CAD, digital signage, computer gaming, security monitoring systems, education, training and telepresence.

Based on Projected Capacitive Technology (3M PCT) from 3M, the Multi-Touch Display M2256PW offers application developers full multi-touch capabilities with less than 6 millisecond response time for 20-plus simultaneous touches. This means fast, accurate touch response over the entire touch surface.

3M Multi-touch Display C2254PW, the 22-inch multi-touch chassis version for slot machines and gaming tables, will also be on the stand with other industry-standard surface capacitive products including: MicroTouch System SCT3250EX (19-inch to 22-inch displays), MicroTouch System SCT7650EX (vandal-prone and rugged applications) and MicroTouch Display C2234SW (robust metal chassis housing). In addition, the MicroTouch System DST2270DX (dispersive signal technology for 32-inch to 46-inch displays) will be demonstrated.

Super Close Projection System

Alongside the touch screen portfolio, the Mobile Interactive Solutions Division of 3M will demonstrate its high performance, cost-effective, all-in-one projection system which enables bright, powerful and engaging presentations in classrooms, meeting or training rooms. The Simply Interactive Super Close Projection System provides full interaction without the need for expensive electronic whiteboards or restrictive specialist software. No training or pre-loading of system drivers is required, meaning anyone can walk up with their laptop, connect and start interacting right away.

The system consists of a 3M Super Close Projection System SCP716 Series projector, a Simply Interactive Eye and Stylus, a folding wall mounted arm with two integrated 20 watt speakers and a control unit. When a laptop or PC is connected to the Simply Interactive system the hardware is automatically detected and interaction is instantly available.

Feature-rich Mobile Projectors

3M’s new MP180 and MP160 Pocket Projectors will also be demonstrated on the stand. The MP180 represents the total, hand-held projector package for the on-the-go business professional, measuring 150 mm x 65 mm x 33 mm and weighing 338 grams. It features 4GB of built-in memory, a micro SD card slot, and USB so people can literally grab PowerPoint and MS-Office files plus videos and photos, and be ready to present at any impromptu moment. A touch screen control panel makes operation effortless, while integrated Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth compatibility gives users the power of the internet in their pocket.

For business professionals that do not require an abundance of attributes or on-board memory, the MP160 is an ideal plug and play connectivity device designed to fit in the pocket for convenient transportation and storage. The MP160 enables projection of high quality videos, photos and games of up to 80 inches onto nearby walls, ceilings, screens or clear, flat surfaces.

The MP180 and MP160 share the same 30 lumens of brightness, full colour gamut, an unprecedented, full, two hour battery life and SVGA resolution. Both connect to any device with a video output, including laptops and Netbooks, smart phones, digital cameras, camcorders, DVD players, games consoles and MP3 players, making it easy to share presentations, videos, photos and other documents while on the go. Both have a rechargeable Lithium polymer battery and a long lasting LED light source (20,000-hour life).
