The EtherneTV 4.4 release also provides new functionality for customers through additional support for H.264 video, integration with VBrick’s Online Streaming Services (VBoss), and multiple security enhancements.

Existing or new EtherneTV customers can easily add Internet delivery to their system by simply subscribing to the VBoss service and configuring their VBrick appliance to stream to it. VBoss integrates video encoding, a web-based media management portal, and Content Distribution Network bandwidth for live and on-demand video distribution.
Complete management and distribution of H.264 video VBrick recently launched its new line of market-leading H.264 network video appliances. EtherneTV’s support for H.264 allows for complete management and distribution of H.264 video. This support includes the EtherneTV Portal Server,
Scheduler, Reporter, Player software, Channel Guide, and Backup functionality. Customers can continue to utilize their current video formats and seamlessly add new H.264 capabilities without a forklift upgrade. New H.264 customers receive all the benefits of the complete EtherneTV system upon their initial purchase.
Security for mission-critical applications EtherneTV includes several security enhancements to meet the needs of security conscious customers in mission-critical environments, such as Federal and State governments and large corporations. New features include the ability to encrypt all communications between end-users and the Portal Server, additional password lengths, and a database upgrade.
