LG SuperSign logoMedium UK has been selected as LG’s exclusive distribution partner for the UK launch of LG SuperSign, a one stop digital signage solution for SMBs.

Medium UK, a value-added distributor specialising in visual communications, has been selected as the exclusive launch partner for LG SuperSign, an integrated digital signage solution tailored to the needs of small to medium sized businesses (SMBs) by LG Business Solutions, the business-to-business division of LG Electronics.

LG SuperSign will be available exclusively from Medium UK for the first three months following its UK launch this month. Barrie Guy, the UK General Manager at LG Business Solutions explains: “Medium’s experience of establishing similar products in the market and its existing long-standing relationships with resellers working in the SMB sector made it a natural choice for this exclusive partnership, especially as it also played a key role in the testing and evaluation of SuperSign. We are confident that all these factors will enable the Medium team to give SuperSign a head start in the market.”

LG’s own research reveals that SMBs represent 31 percent of the European digital signage market. It also reveals that SMBs expect the same quality and reliability from digital signage as larger operators, but require lower cost solutions that need no specialist knowledge to operate.

Medium UK logoLG SuperSign includes displays, media players and software designed to enable novice users to set up and manage digital signage quickly and easily through intuitive features such as content wizards, drag-and-drop design, templates and application-specific layouts created for specific industries.

It supports a broad range of file formats including photos, video, HTML and Flash content as well as Microsoft Office applications such as PowerPoint, Excel and Word and multiple frames. Up to two pieces of full HD content can be displayed simultaneously in addition to RSS feeds with text and icons for weather and stock news.

Staff can distribute media and data files over a local area network (LAN) from any PC server running SuperSign software, while built-in fault monitoring, diagnostics and anti-theft system take care of system management – ideal for organisations without in-house support.

Paul O’Reilly, the Commercial Director of Medium UK said: “Six months of testing and evaluation has shown LG SuperSign perfectly answers the needs of smaller organisations, from retailers to bars, clubs and hotels to schools and colleges and complements our solutions for large enterprise and embedded network customers.”

“Experience has taught us that one size does not fit all when it comes to digital signage, “adds Paul O’Reilly. “Adding LG SuperSign ensures Medium has a solution to suit all our customers’ needs, regardless of size and complexity of network, the experience of the users or level of support available to them.”

Medium UK offers its reseller and integrator customers true turnkey digital signage solutions, from initial customer demonstrations and trials, to installation and commissioning services, technical support and pre- and post- installation training. Its digital signage portfolio includes Magic Info embedded displays from Samsung, professional displays from NEC Display Solutions and signage live from Remote Media.
