Stinova logoStinova Ltd., a developer and manufacturer of premium software for the digital signage industry, has released its new low-cost digital signage player for Windows, the DMP-W.

“This player, when combined with a subscription to our Digital Media Server (DMS), offers users a most cost-effective way to implement digital signage,” said Steve Earle, vice president of business development.  “Users are now free to utilize whatever equipment choices best suit their budget without sacrificing quality of service. By choosing our Web-based DMS, users will have granular access to content control, extremely smart WYSIWYG composition tools, intuitive playlist creation and scheduling, physical player management and account access control, all for less than the price of a cup of coffee a day.”The player, which leverages the plethora of inexpensive PC hardware available to consumers, is also compatible with dedicated player hardware running Windows XP Embedded. This flexibility makes the player suitable to a wide range of applications from stand-alone to large corporate roll-outs.

The DMP-W supports all popular codecs, picture formats and RSS feeds and is compatible with both 4:3 and 16:9 displays for full HD resolution. In combination with Stinova’s DMS, the player supports free-form multiple zones for rich multi-media content.
