Our History

Our journey began in late 2006 when the digital signage market was still in its infancy. It started as a side project by 2 individuals, who were in their mid-20s with IT backgrounds and working for a Canadian-based digital signage company. However, during a visit to ISE 2008 in Amsterdam and Computex Taipei, we recognized the increasing importance of digital signage everywhere and decided to focus more on expanding this news platform to share updates globally.

From 2008 to 2012, we collaborated with nearly all companies in the industry, becoming the leading source for providing digital signage and digital out of home (DOOH) information.

As the years passed, Signageinfo.com began to gain recognition on a global scale, connecting and sharing updates from numerous digital signage companies. During this time, the team also opened their own digital signage tech company with centers in Canada, UAE, and India, focusing on the development and sales of digital signage software and hardware, partnering with industry leaders and newcomers. At our peak in 2013, we had nearly 100K visits and over 40K unique visitors to our website each month. However, our rapid growth came with its own set of challenges. By the end of that same year, we faced budget constraints. Our primary source of revenue at the time, Google ads, was no longer sufficient to meet the growing resource demands of our expanding community. Despite our best efforts to secure additional funds, our attempts proved unsuccessful in May 2014. As a result, we were forced to halt SignageInfo operations for a period of five years to focus more on our technology company, resulting in the loss of a valuable active reader base and data.

After securing funds, we slowly made a return in 2019, relaunching the site and diligently working to restore the wealth of information and connections we had built over the years. Today, SignageInfo.com is completely privately owned and expanding to more areas in digital signage with the goal of connecting and educating more people in this industry.
