Clear Channel Outdoor Expands Digital Network in White Plains, NY

Clear Channel Outdoor – New York, a division of Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CCO) and the leading display marketer in the nation’s top designated market area (DMA) – New York, has announced a significant expansion of its digital advertising network in the City of White Plains. This move provides new opportunities for national, regional, and local advertisers to engage with audiences in one of the country’s most dynamic suburban and retail centers.

Expansion of Digital Outdoor Advertising in White Plains

Clear Channel first introduced a digital network in downtown White Plains in 2009, consisting of eight 6′ x 3.3′ Digital Banners. This network was the first of its kind in a concentrated downtown area in the U.S. Following the success of this initial rollout, Clear Channel has now expanded its presence in the city to include two additional networks, further enhancing the company’s portfolio of premium digital displays.

The updated network now consists of three separate digital networks:

  • Network 1: Comprises five of the original Digital Banners.
  • Networks 2 and 3: Each includes five 6′ x 10.8′ Digital Junior Posters.

In total, the Westchester Digital Outdoor Network in White Plains now features 15 high-impact digital displays, offering a powerful platform for advertisers to connect with local audiences.

Benefits and Features of the Digital Network

Clear Channel’s President and General Manager, Harry Coghlan, expressed enthusiasm about the network’s expansion, stating, “We’re excited to expand our innovative out-of-home networks in White Plains as our cutting-edge displays empower brand marketers, charitable organizations, municipal agencies, and more to tap into the power of digital.”

The digital network offers numerous benefits for advertisers and the community, including:

  • Real-time Message Updates: Advertisers can customize and update marketing messages in real-time, providing flexibility and targeting specific audiences effectively.
  • Day-Parting: The network allows for “day-parting,” where messages can be scheduled to appear at specific times of the day, maximizing visibility and impact.
  • Public Safety and Information: The displays can convey important public safety information, such as FBI wanted alerts, AMBER Alerts, traffic updates, and extreme weather warnings from transportation agencies and emergency services.
  • Community Engagement: The boards also serve as a platform for sharing information about city events, festivals, and concerts, along with messages from civic and charity organizations aimed at raising public awareness.

White Plains: A Prime Location for Digital Advertising

Located just 25 miles north of Manhattan, White Plains is a bustling suburban and retail hub. Its population of 60,000 residents swells to over 250,000 during peak work and shopping hours, making it a prime location for advertisers looking to reach a diverse and high-volume audience. The city serves as a major multi-modal transportation hub and is home to several high-tech firms and major corporations.

A Growing Digital Footprint

The expansion of the Westchester Digital Outdoor Network adds to Clear Channel Outdoor’s extensive digital footprint, which includes over 658 digital displays across 36 U.S. markets.
