Holiday Inn Portland Airport Boosts Guest Service with Flyte Systems Guest Flight Information

FlyteBoard Holiday Inn Portland AirportFlyteBoard Delivers Travel Confidence, Adds Revenue to Airport Property

Flyte Systems, the leading provider of airport travel information displays and digital signage content for the hospitality industry, digital signage, convention centers and related businesses, announced the Holiday Inn Portland Airport installed its FlyteBoard airport flight information display.  The FlyteBoard display adds guest convenience by showing real-time airline arrival and departure times for Portland International Airport.  Click here for more information on Flyte Systems airport travel information services.

“Every hotel that serves guests who travel by air should offer Flyte Systems airline information; guests value the convenience and it helps generate property revenue,” said Charles Holt, general manager of the Holiday Inn Portland Airport.  The Holiday Inn Portland Airport is one of two John Q. Hammons hotels, including the Houston Marriott South at Hobby Airport, that offer Flyte Systems.

“If guests see their flight is delayed, they can postpone their shuttle to the airport and relax in our lobby or at our Northwest Grille or in our lounge,” said Holt.  “If their evening flights are cancelled, guests frequently extend their stay.”  Holt noted his property adjoins the Columbia Conference Center and collectively offers 30,000 square feet of meeting space.  “FlyteBoard is a sales advantage and a huge part of the property tour when our sales team shows the hotel to group meeting planners.  It is a valuable benefit to business travelers.”  Flyte is the only full service flight information display solution that provides real-time departure information.

Holt implemented the property’s Flyte System’s display soon after he assumed management of the hotel.  “I was surprised that this busy airport business property did not provide airline flight information,” Holt said.  “I had just visited a hotel near Sea-Tac airport in Seattle that had FlyteBoard and saw how much convenience it added to guest travel.  Our guests use the FlyteBoard instead of calling their travel agent or searching online if they need to change their flights.  It is faster and more convenient.  Our night staff also watches the Board for cancelled flights so they can call the affected airline to offer rooms to distressed passengers.  This is a win/win for our guests and the property.”
