ZetaDisplay contributes to increasing sales of food and drink at filling stations in Norway

Some time ago ZetaDisplay entered into an agreement to install its Digital Signage media platform at four independent Shell petrol stations in Norway. This collaboration covers software, digital systems, operation and media production. ZetaDisplay has installed digital displays, along with menu panels and campaign advertising inside the petrol stations, and also digital displays outdoors, which communicate with customers while they are filling up and servicing their vehicles.

Shell has a network of over 500 petrol stations throughout Norway. Some of these stations are franchised by Shell, and others by independent licensees. Hans Petter Hotvedt is an independent licensee who has four Shell petrol stations, in each of which ZetaDisplay has installed media platforms for Digital Signage.

“I get a better response to my marketing with the aid of the digital displays.

I begin to communicate with my customers while they are filling up with petrol, and then follow up with offers inside the shop. Thanks to ZetaDisplay’s media platform the turnover of food and drink has increased in our petrol stations. This development is very positive and is a direct result of the display solutions that have been installed both indoors and outdoors. Particularly important are the outdoor displays, which provide a completely new possibility to influence those who refuel and pay by card. I am of course very satisfied by the results, and shall in the future gradually increase my investment in Digital Signage,” says Hans Petter Hotvedt, owner of the four Shell petrol stations.

ZetaDisplay is in an expansive phase and has positioned itself in the market by being able to show markedly increased sales for its clients by means of the company’s media platform for Digital Signage.

“This underlines the importance of obtaining early communication with customers who are on their way towards the shop, in the parking area or nearby, before they enter the shop. Powerful brands such as Coca Cola also experience excellent results from this type of marketing. An important factor for us is that the company often wants to build on its brand name in the same way as in all markets, and this suits ZetaDisplay in its position as a Nordic total supplier. ZetaDisplay also sees a development into a direction towards an increasing number of central Nordic co-operation agreements,” says Leif Liljebrunn, CEO of ZetaDisplay AB (publ.).

ZetaDisplay is a leading supplier of Digital Signage within retailing and in public environments in the Nordic market. ZetaDisplay has about 40 employees and has continued in recent years to grow in Sweden, while having subsidiaries in Denmark, Norway and Finland.

ZetaDisplay is a leading supplier of Digital Signage to major chains in the retailing and service sectors of the Nordic market. The company has close links with research in this area and had demonstrated markedly increased retail sales with more satisfied customers. The company had a turnover of MSEK 50 in 2010 and is presently in an expansive phase.

ZetaDisplay offers complete media platforms for Digital Signage which include software, services and digital systems. The company’s media platforms enable clients to easily produce offers and ensure that a great deal of communication is presented on the right displays at the right time. Each media platform is operated and monitored centrally by the company. The distribution of media and playlists to the displays in stores and service centres is based on the Internet. Control and supervision of the communication is managed by both the company and its clients by means of a web-based interface that is accessed in the cloud via the Internet. The company undertakes media production and provides template tools which allow clients to create the content themselves. The complete solutions also include analyses, advice and project management, along with handling the installation of digital displays and communication equipment at each client site.
