The new Singlewire Digital Media Manager (DMM) plugin for InformaCast allows users to send notification to Cisco Digital Media Players when a broadcast has been sent.
Singlewire Software (http://www.singlewire.com), developer of innovative voice applications centered around secure, fast, and reliable mass notification, today announced the release of the new Singlewire Digital Media Manager (DMM) plugin for InformaCast.
As a way of further expanding the number of people reached with InformaCast broadcasts, the DMM plugin allows you to send InformaCast broadcasts containing text to Cisco Digital Media Players (DMPs). With a correctly configured, active DMM server, you can configure InformaCast to treat Digital Media Player groups as a new device type that can be assigned to a recipient group just as you would a phone or speaker.
“A growing number of customers are using the Cisco Digital Media Manager and Players for displaying important, day-to-day information in their buildings,” states Ken Bywaters, executive vice president of product development at Singlewire Software. “This plugin enables users to easily reach these Cisco monitor displays with a message in the event of an emergency and clear the message when the emergency passes.”
The Digital Media Manager plugin requires installation of InformaCast 8.0 or later and a fully configured Cisco DMM server and Cisco Digital Media Player(s). For additional information on supported models and firmware, visit http://www.singlewire.com/dmm.
The DMM plugin is an inexpensive addition for any user of InformaCast 8.0 with a valid Singlewire maintenance contract. Additional plugins will be released from Singlewire on an ongoing basis.
