WebDT Medical Solutions Featured at Computex Taipei 2011

DT Research™, Inc., an industry leader in the development of information appliances for vertical markets, today announced the new WebDT medical computing systems for the healthcare industry will be showcased at Computex Taipei 2011.

The WebDT medical computing systems include medical-grade mobile tablets (WebDT 312MD, 390MD), point-of-service handhelds (WebDT 415MD), and all-in-one, display-integrated systems (WebDT 517MD, 522MD). Emphasizing mobility, wireless connectivity, touch screens, space-saving design, and anti-microbial enclosures, these information appliances are designed for applications in clinics, hospitals, healthcare centers, emergency services, and laboratories.

The WebDT 312MD and 390MD mobile tablets bring the services to the patient, whether in the lobby, room, or at an emergency. With 10.4 inch and 8.9 inch touch screens respectively, the WebDT MD tablets integrate energy-efficient Intel® Atom™ processors with Microsoft® Windows® operating systems, are flexible to integrate with other applications, and are VESA mountable to fit on a cart, wall mount, and in a vehicle. The 390MD further offers an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance, as well as MIL-STD-810G for vibration and shock resistance to perform in demanding healthcare environments. A range of options enable efficient data entry and retrieval, including magnetic stripe reader (MSR), RFID reader, 2D barcode scanner, smart card reader, and 3-mega-pixel camera. With options for Wi-Fi and outdoor-viewable screen, the slim, lightweight yet durable WebDT MD tablets provide quality performance with low power consumption to cover a wide range of healthcare project needs indoors and outdoors.

The WebDT 415MD handheld system is ultra-mobile, ideal for use in the pharmacy, cafeteria, and for inventory management. With a 3.5 inch touch screen, support for Windows® CE 6.0 or Windows® Mobile 6, and WLAN and Bluetooth connectivity, the WebDT 415MD provides go-anywhere computing in a compact, lightweight, durable package. The WebDT MD handheld system integrates several point-of-service (POS) options for a flexible and efficient workflow, including magnetic stripe reader, 2D barcode scanner, and RFID reader. The IP54 sealed front panel provides dust and water protection for real-life handling. The on-screen soft keyboard makes operation simple, and the outdoor-viewable display makes it easy to use in the field or at the receiving dock.

The WebDT 517MD and 522MD digital terminals integrate 17” and 22” LCD displays respectively with an energy-efficient thin client platform in one slim, mountable, bacteria-resistant enclosure. Designed for medical applications, the UL60601-1 certified 517MD and 522MD provide space-saving solutions for health professionals to monitor, record and retrieve patient information and other point-of-care applications. With optional IR touch screen, internal wireless communication, magnetic stripe reader, and smart card reader, the WebDT MD digital terminals make data access efficient and optimize staff workflow in time and space-sensitive healthcare environments.

In addition to the medical computing solutions, DT Research will also showcase the award-wining, web-based WebDT digital signage systems, and the robust WebDT embedded solutions. Visit DT Research at Computex Taipei from May 31 to June 4 in booth L502 & L601, Nangang Exhibition Hall.
