Christie Aims for the Spectacular at GITEX 2012

Christie Roadster HD20K J projectorChristie® will be looking to capitalise on the recent opening of their new facility in the prestigious Dubai Silicon Oasis technology park with a diverse display of advanced media connectivity at this year’s GITEX Technology Week.

Launched in 1981, GITEX will again take place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from October 14-18.

Making their second appearance at GITEX, Christie will turn Stand B3-20 (Hall 3) into a dynamic, fully-integrated production village, showcasing products newly launched to the market this year in a solution-based source-to-screen tour de force.

One of Christie’s stand highlights will be a new age video pixel mapping demonstration using a 5-metre high building façade and three-channel edge blend.  Never before attempted on a show environment in the Middle East region, Christie will look to promote the virtue of creative projection through the use of three high brightness Roadster HD20K-J projectors whilst maintaining colour and brightness uniformity.

Meanwhile, a fourth static HD20K-J projector will be surrounded with MicroTiles content on the rear — in one of a number of dynamic MicroTiles geometric displays. These will be shown creatively in different columns and arrays — from the 6 x 4 display showing control room content, to a 1 x 2 wall managed by Christie JumpStart content management solution and a reprise of the popular ‘Quadtrich’ — four 1 x 10 MicroTiles arrays.

Elsewhere Christie will present other electrifying sets. This will include a pair of the higher-powered Mirage HD14K-M, used for curved screen channel edge blend, showing both 2D and 3D control room content, along with Christie’s FHD551-X LED backlit LCD panels.

The Christie LWU501i 3LCD WUXGA projector contains an intuitive LCD menu for easy set up and maintenance. With its USB port, presenters can use wireless devices to present their data — and these wireless features will be demonstrated at GITEX, with information streamed wirelessly from the meeting room desk.

Finally examples can be seen of other popular M Series and J Series projectors— the latter rapidly being adopted as the de facto standard — while the Christie Spyder X20 will handle all content management.

The presentation of such a diverse portfolio should further consolidate Christie’s position as the undisputed leader in the Middle East, which started through rental staging. The company has achieved rapid growth since first setting up in the region back in 2007 under EMEA Senior Sales Director, Simon Smith.
