Scala certified digital signage provider SEEN MEDIA received the “Best Digital Signage Solution” award at the 2009 POPAI Digital Awards in May. The award recognized SEEN MEDIA for the Scala-powered digital media installation it developed for auto manufacturer Audi’s showrooms.
Since 2006, the network has been deployed in more than 1,000 Audi dealer showrooms worldwide with plans to eventually expand to all 2,500 dealers. Audi turned to SEEN MEDIA to develop a digital signage network and sales tool that would highlight specific vehicles and products for customers in its showrooms while maintaining the powerful Audi brand image. While the system is centralized and maintained by SEEN MEDIA in Germany, individual dealers can also develop and schedule customized content for their local audience.
“Audi’s commitment to digital media in its showrooms represents an example of a truly global and successful deployment,” said Oscar Elizaga, VP EMEA, Scala. “SEEN MEDIA has been able to harness Audi’s powerful brand and ensure that it is represented in each dealership participating within the network, and Scala is happy to have played a role in SEEN MEDIA’s development of this solution.”
POPAI D-A-CH, the German, Swiss and Austrian chapter of the global association for marketing at retail, hosted the first-ever Digital Awards during the Digital Signage Expo in Essen, Germany, earlier this month. Sixteen finalists presented their projects on the show floor, and winners were announced based on the results from 15 expert judges and a public voting system consisting of more than 300 visitors.
