The owners of Washington DC’s first outdoor digital signage network, a prominent feature of the Gallery Place development located at 7th and H Streets NW, announced its official launch in conjunction with the Grand Opening of AT&T’s new retail experience store, one of the featured advertisers on the digital billboards.
The three 8ft by 14ft full motion video boards are located at Washington DC’s busiest intersection, just above the Gallery Place metro stop in Chinatown, are an addition to the internal digital signage network located inside the Gallery Place pavilion. AT&T Mobility, a current DSN client, took full advantage of the on-site marketing opportunity by broadcasting their Grand Opening on the video boards Saturday, April 19, 2008.
“We are committed to this network enhancing the community experience, providing; exciting and energetic content, useful information, and advertising of great products and services. We are confident in its effectiveness and success,” declared Herbert Miller, of Gallery Place Partners. “Over the next several weeks you will see a transformation of the network that will include a fresh look and new advertisers along with useful and informative content that will benefit the 100,000 people who pass by each day.”
In addition to marketing related content, Gallery Place hasdedicated 10% of the network’s time to spotlight community organizations. Like the Chinatown Community Cultural Center and the Alliance to Save Energy, who is currently running a public service announcement on the network to promote the importance of saving
