Digital Signage Expo (DSE) recently announced that six companies have won the distinction of finalists for the 2010 Content Awards, to be presented at a special awards banquet slated to take place at the Paris Hotel on the opening night of DSE 2010 on Wednesday, Feb. 24, in Las Vegas.
A panel of four judges voted to recognize these select nominees in recognition of their creation of innovative and compelling content for the purpose of providing information or education, promoting products or services, or creating a unique experience. Both non-interactive and interactive content will be recognized.
“Many factors figure into a successful digital signage deployment, but at the end of the day, it’s what appears on the screen that matters,” said Richard Lebovitz, editorial and education director for DSE. “Relevant, contextual content is a prerequisite for any digital signage, whether in a corporate lobby, a retail store or public square.”
“More than 50 companies competed in this year’s Content Awards,” he added. “DSE is pleased to be able to recognize the creative achievements of these finalists.”
Finalists for the DSE 2010 Content Awards are:
* St. Joseph Content – Alchemy for content created for Dunkin Donuts
* Visix Inc. for content created for Reeve Union – UW Oshkosh
* PlayNetwork for content created for Genesco
* LocaModa Inc. for content created for Zoom Media & Marketing
* Wireless Ronin Technologies for content created for ARAMARK
* X2O Media for content created for PSAV & X2O Media
The Content Awards will be presented at the First Annual Digital Signage Expo Awards Dinner, to be held at the Paris Hotel. The dinner is co-sponsored by the Digital Signage Association and Samsung, with proceeds from this dinner going to the association to help advance our industry’s most important programs and initiatives.
