Signagelive, a global technology company that specialises in developing cloud-based digital signage applications, will be demonstrating its latest dynamic signage capabilities, including its support for Samsung’s new Smart Signage Platform, at International Signage Association Expo. The trade show is taking place at Mandalay Bay Convention Centre, Las Vegas from 3 – 6 April. Signagelive can be found on Stand Number 1535.

Signagelive will also be presenting its new range of plug and play applications with ready-to-use templates for different vertical markets including fast food, retail, education and corporate enterprise.

No technical expertise is required, enabling static signage companies to seamlessly integrate dynamic signage applications with existing offerings and run engaging campaigns at the push of a button. Content can be managed and updated centrally or locally via different devices including Smartphone, tablet, or screen remote control unit.

Targeted content, such as seasonal promotions or nutritional facts can be configured to display on different screen types, depending on size, location and/or target audiences. Furthermore, content can be scheduled to dynamically update depending on factors such as geographical location, time of day and updates to external data sources.

All applications are written in HTML5, the new standard for cross-platform online applications. They are fully compatible with Samsung’s new line up of Smart Signage Displays and comprise innovative features such as drag and drop functionality, QR code support and management integration for widgets such as Twitter or Yahoo Finance.

Signagelive’s intuitive management software enables signage manufacturers to quickly communicate targeted content to specific consumer groups without needing to install onsite media players. It supports different content formats including rolling images, nested playlists, video streaming, IPTV, third-party websites and Media RSS feeds.

All software and applications are hosted in the cloud, which eliminates the need for onsite media players resulting in lower operational costs, reduced energy consumption and rapid ROI.

Says Raffi Vartian, Chief Operating Officer of Signagelive: “We are really excited about our new turnkey applications because they offer resellers of traditional signage an easy to use, powerful and affordable solution to bring to their customers. The digital signage market is rapidly moving to non-PC playback devices and the savings made by not installing onsite management software can be reinvested in the latest digital signage technology. This in turn provides a better user experience which helps improve brand loyalty and ultimately results in increased profitability”

The company has recently been selected by Samsung as a key partner to support its new Smart Signage Platform, which is being launched to the public in May. Formal collaboration between both companies was announced in January 2013 at a press conference

Signagelive can be found on the Samsung booth situated in Earl’s Court 2, Stand No 844.

Signagelive has integrated Samsung System on Chip (SoC) technology into its core management software (written in HTML5) and to demonstrate its full commitment to Samsung’s new range of Smart Signage products, it will be showcasing an interactive digital signage application developed specifically for the retail market.

This new plug and play application, which comprises a range of preconfigured templates, enables high street brands to use Samsung LCD Displays in conjunction with a Galaxy Note Tablet to display highly targeted messaging to shoppers and allow them to select content they wish to view on the LCD DIsplay.

Retailers can, for example, use the larger screens (situated in store and/or at strategic locations throughout a shopping centre) to display key seasonal looks and use the Galaxy Notes as online product catalogues. Customers are able to browse the complete product range on the smaller screens and view different style combinations and videos incorporating a chosen item on to the larger screens, before trying it on or making a purchase.

No technical expertise is required and retailers can quickly set up high quality, interactive displays for different consumer groups, depending on age, sex etc and manage that content centrally or locally, using a Smartphone, laptop, tablet or remote control. The content can be displayed on different screen sizes and be scheduled to dynamically update, depending on factors such as seasonal offers, the weather or messages posted by fashion designers on Twitter, Facebook or other external sites.

Samsung next-generation Smart Signage products and Signagelive management software eliminate the need for onsite digital media players, resulting in significant cost savings from a hardware perspective. Samsung is promoting its new product range as a turnkey solution to retailers and to facilitate this, all displays, regardless of size, have been configured to support Signagelive applications as standard.

Applications are hosted on Signagelive’s high availability cloud platform and are supplied on a license-per-device basis, enabling retailers to display high quality content at the push of a button.

Signagelive’s core management software provides full support for different content formats including; rolling images, nested playlists, video streaming, IPTV, third-party party websites and Media RSS feeds. It also includes a number of innovative features such as drag and drop functionality, QR code support and management integration for widgets such as Twitter or Yahoo Finance.

Says Jason Cremins, CEO of Signagelive; “We are delighted to have been invited once again to join forces with Samsung at a major tradeshow. The retail industry is facing new challenges as a result of ecommerce. Our new application will enable leading brands to fully engage with their target audiences, build up a stronger brand following and convert consumer interest into sales.”

Samsung formally announced its collaboration with Signagelive at a press conference in Amsterdam on the 29th January. Signagelive launched its portfolio of applications to the North American market at Digital Signage Expo.

Signagelive has also created a custom performance monitoring application using Cloud Servers and Cloud Load Balancer APIs, that enables it to scale up or down on demand when required. In times of peak (or unexpected) load, Signagelive automatically increases the number of servers available to network customers, ensuring that the user experience remains a constant and is not degraded by any large spikes in traffic.

Jason Cremins, Signagelive CEO says: “Ultimately we want to create a solution that is as simple as downloading an application to your mobile phone. We are working closely with USA-based company Insteo to create a unique mix of Apps, UI design, and content management controls, that will provide clients with freedom to use their communications as it is best suited for them. We encourage our customers to go beyond the digital signage screen and engage with their audience. You don’t need to be a big corporation to use digital signage. Our solutions are suited to anyone and everyone.”

Mobility has also been included in Signagelive offerings. Signagelive’s player for Android turns any Android device into a digital signage media player enabling passive, interactive and kiosk modes for playback of your media including support for Media RSS feeds.

Signagelive supports a wide de range of devices, in 42 languages. The cloud-based software can be used on PC and non-PC digital signage hardware, such as the IAdea products; to Android mobile phones, tablets, kiosks and screen savers.

IPC2U enters partnership with signagelive http://www.signageinfo.com/news/19659/ipc2u-enters-partnership-with-signagelive/ http://www.signageinfo.com/news/19659/ipc2u-enters-partnership-with-signagelive/#comments Thu, 16 Aug 2012 07:46:59 +0000 SITeam http://www.signageinfo.com/?p=19659 IPC2U is glad to announce partnership with renowned digital signage software company signagelive. As IPC2U already offers a wide range of digital signage hardware, you can just buy a comprehensive solution with well-founded and competent consultation, which will entirely satisfy you and your customers. Therefore it is possible to improve the performance of you digital signage system significantly. The impact of advertising or infotainment increases considerably, at the same time the solution reduces efforts and costs for management of complex digital signage systems, e.g. if advertising is played back and managed at 30 different locations.

What is digital signage?
Digital signage is considered as networked audio and visual information system which content can be either program-controlled or manually controlled. Such content is digital media like video clips, images, texts, sounds, presentations, TV, lists, news ticker etc.

Technology and requirements
Regarding hardware a so called player is required – this can be some conventional PC or fanless thin client, which has access to the Internet. You also need an output device, which is connected to the player in order to play back the content. This can be a beamer, plain display or video wall systems. Also deployment of Panel PCs is an opportunity – it consists of player and output device in one unit.
Content distribution is proceeded by the signagelive content management software.
Due to the cloud solution of signagelive your content will be saved in the cloud and can be distributed from there to single players. Thus the user does not need his own server. The content can be processed directly in the cloud. The content processing can be made with any browser having Internet access.
Generally, it is of vital importance that all the content is adjusted to the respective play back locations. This can be managed by an administrator from the central control location; moreover the software allows employees to adapt content to their individual location.
As soon as it is ready, media content can be played back according to the schedule at the connected output devices.
To make the entry in the digital signage project we offer prefabricated signagelive bundles. These bundles contain all features to be necessary to play back your content with minimal efforts.
