For two full days Screenmedia expo 2011 will be the hub of activity for the European place-based marketing and emerging media sector (18-19 May, London’s Earls Court 2). Over 4,000 visitors are expected to walk the floor, attend the free learning programmes, co-located conferences and after-show celebrations. Exhibitor numbers are also on track for a record year – the latest to sign up include Vizrt, Planar, Digiadvans, Premier Mounts, AMD, Melford Electronics, Adscreen, DGScreen, Galaxia and Eyetease. Just confirmed is the presence of Intel’s “The Connected Store” and a new branded seminar presented by The Imperative Group. The FLEX London Conference has released its speaker list and the first LoveContent Annual Awards hosted by The Screen will take place on the evening of 18th May.
Intel’s “The Connected Store” will be located on Stand E7 showing visitors how Intel technology is enabling the future by enhancing the in-store customer experience while retailers reach their operational goals. Experience interactive digital signage that allows users to visually access and browse a department store’s entire inventory at the touch of their fingertips, get special pricing via mobile, create outfits on a digital mannequin and then share virtually with friends. Tours of the Connected Store are available by appointment.
For the second year The Imperative Group has worked closely with Screenmedia expo to develop the Education Programmes and first Screenmedia Professionals Conference. Delegates will benefit from some leading edge presentations across a wide variety of marketing and technical topics. In fact Imperative has announced that it is running its own branded seminar entitled, “Engaging customers with digital place-based media” at 10am on 19th May in the DOOH Media Lounge, Conference Room 1. Chris Heap, Managing Director of Imperative, will be presenting with partner associates Stephen Randall from LocaModa and Mike Hiatt from Dynamic Retailing.
