This strategic move is highlighted by the introduction of the Philips Urban LED 6000 Series and a partnership with FC Barcelona for their Spotify Camp Nou stadium redevelopment.

The new Philips Urban LED 6000 Series, revealed at ISE 2024 in Barcelona, is PPDS’s first venture into the outdoor LED display sector. This market is projected to reach $29.87 billion by 2032. The series features a 10,000 nit Ultra High Bright display, catering to various outdoor settings and offering creative solutions for digital communication.

PPDS’s expansion into sports venues is exemplified by their role as the exclusive official supplier of LED and digital signage displays for FC Barcelona’s iconic stadium. The company will provide outdoor LED solutions, including two concourse rings and three video scoreboards, totaling 2000m2 (1.2km) of LED display.

Martijn van der Woude, VP of Global Marketing and Business Development at PPDS, emphasized the historic nature of this venture, aligning with FC Barcelona’s commitment to excellence. The partnership aims to enhance fan experiences at the stadium with innovative display solutions.

The Philips Urban LED 6000 Series, designed for any environment, offers flexibility, reduced energy consumption, and exceptional visual performance for viewing distances of 10-30 meters. It includes interchangeable panel variants with high contrast and refresh rates, ensuring vibrant and smooth visual experiences.

These displays are ideal for various applications, from billboards to digital scoreboards, and are designed for easy installation and maintenance. They are IP65 rated, ensuring resistance to water and pollutants and can withstand extreme temperatures.

Sustainability is a key focus for PPDS, with the Philips Urban LED 6000 Series optimized for low power consumption and packaged in 100% recycled and recyclable materials.
