YCD Multimedia, a global leader in providing smart digital media solutions to the retail business world, today announced the introduction of a new YCD Analytics module for the company’s Retail Advertising and Merchandising Platform (RAMP) at the 2012 National Retail Federation’s (NRF) 101st Annual Convention and Expo — Retail’s BIG Show, to be held in New York, January 15-18, 2012 at the Javits Center. The new Analytics module will be presented at HP booth #431 in an innovative demonstration with HP and Retalix that enables retailers to manage products, prices and marketing campaigns more easily. The combined solution is fully compliant with HP’s new line of retail products, which are specially designed to address the unique requirements of retailers using Point-of-Sale (POS) digital media.

The new easy-to-use module enables analysis of the effectiveness of digital display-based marketing campaigns and ads on sales. The Analytics module has access to the Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, analyzing the correlation between the displays and actual sales.  A unique feature provides the user with the capability to immediately examine this correlation in various categories such as individual store departments, geographical regions, location etc. Users can review trends and improve campaigns and ads. The new module closes the loop between in-store promotions and actual sales, allowing for real-time optimization.

YCD will also demonstrate a mobile application allowing remote access to RAMP over the Internet from smartphones.

YCD RAMP addresses the real needs and challenges of retailers, offering them, their agencies and suppliers one platform for retailers to manage their digital in-store media workflow. A new digital campaign can be seamlessly uploaded by an ad agency, approved by the corporate headquarters and distributed to all or any subset of the retailer’s locations to be played immediately or scheduled for a later day-part. With the built-in content creation tool, a regional office or individual store can customize and generate its own promotions to suit its local needs.

“The Analytics module is a significant addition to our technology arsenal,” said Noam Levavi, YCD’s CEO. “We have made it easier for retail stores to convert their vast amounts of sales data into valuable information that streamlines marketing decisions and enhances competitive responsiveness.”

In addition to the new Analytics module and the mobile application, YCD Multimedia will demonstrate the integration of RAMP with Retalix Customer Management and Marketing Suite and HP digital signage hardware solutions at the HP booth.

By combining their expertise, the three companies created a solution for retail businesses that automatically manages their products, prices and marketing campaigns without fuss. This template-based marketing transforms “raw material” (such as data and images) automatically into digital promotional content, through a user-friendly interface, reducing the time it takes retailers to learn the software. Consumers are only presented with the most relevant content – such as product price and availability – triggered in real time, and based on the Retalix® Promotion Management application.
