Tech specialists to demo applications for Intel-powered interactive MultiTaction Cell display from MultiTouch Ltd
Engage Production Ltd, the interactive technology for branded environments specialist, is demonstrating corporate and experiential marketing applications for MultiTouch Ltd’s MultiTaction® Cell interactive display technology on the Intel® booth at this year’s Screen Media Expo (May 16-17 at London’s Earl’s Court 2). Distributed in the UK by Engage, MultiTaction® Cells incorporate 2nd generation Intel ® Core™ i3 and i7 processors.
Working closely with MultiTouch Ltd and Intel® on booth #D7, Engage will showcase a variety of applications on two wall-mounted 55inch MultiTaction® displays and a 55inch MultiTaction® table. These will include a multi-user presentation tool created for Vodafone India, an innovative windtunnel application designed for Mubadala of Abu Dhabi and an application celebrating the FA Cup, for the 2011-12 promotional tour.
“We’re excited to be working with MultiTouch and Intel at this important event,” comments Engage Production MD Steve Blyth. “MultiTaction is an incredible product, and this is why we specified it for what is currently the world’s biggest multitouch interactive wall. The project is nearing completion, and comprises 24x 55inch MultiTaction® displays. The combination of the Intel ® Core™ i3 and i7 processors, MultiTouch Ltd’s optical imaging technology and Engage’s know-how, make it one of the most important interactive display projects ever!”
Engage Production Ltd is at the cutting-edge of interactive concepts for branded environments, and is the UK’s leading systems integrator and development partner for MultiTouch Ltd. Currently overseeing a number of projects involving multitouch tech, including world’s largest multitouch interactive wall for a global management consultancy and bespoke editing software for global media giant Sky, Engage is the first choice for a number of top creative agencies, including Start JG, Flourish and Action Impact. Previous projects include work for Adidas, News International, Virgin Mobile, BT, Toyota, T Mobile, Vodafone, Sony and Christies.
MultiTaction® uses MultiTouch Ltd’s patented optical imaging technology Computer Vision Through Screen (CVTS) and provides the world’s most advanced set of touch, gesture and object recognition capabilities. MultiTaction® Cells are Full HD displays which can accommodate unlimited numbers of touch points and an unlimited number of concurrent users with full hand recognition; for larger, more effective installations, they are stackable up to 24 Cell arrays. The 55inch model – currently the world’s largest integrated multi-user LCD multitouch display – was followed by a 42inch version in early 2012.
About Engage Production Ltd
At Engage our business is realising innovative, interactive concepts for branded environments – bringing to reality creative ideas, vague concepts and dream scenarios. Partnering with clients and agencies, we add value to creative endeavours by ‘bolting on’ to existing design processes. We source and develop the latest, most envelope-pushing technologies and materials – and our experience and knowledge cuts across the vast spectrum of interactive and 3D design. Engage work is always of the highest quality, and our unique expertise provides clients with all the know-how they need: we’re a safe pair of hands; a one-stop creative shop that always delivers, on time and within budget. Engage’s technical expertise ultimately helps consumers to interact with brands, enabling our clients (and our client’s clients!) to engage with their customers more effectively. We ‘major’ on the following: Gestural tracking; technical installations; content programming; 3D animation; augmented reality; multitouch installations; videowalls; bespoke digital displays. And thanks to our Innovation Store, we’re able to source the latest tech to deliver what’s required of us – and more. We recently launched our own dedicated quarterly magazine, TouchPoint – to bring our clients (and the press) up-to-date with what we’ve been up to, with news, case studies, interviews and features. We also commissioned a new showreel, to visually showcase our technical knowhow and expertise in less than a minute, and set up an extensive Vimeo page, with projects and products on display. Both of these innovations are accessible via our brand new website, which launched in January 2012.
