EyeClick at MadaTeksMadaTek, the Israel National Museum of Science Technology and Space in Haifa, displays a large variety of exhibitions and interactive activities that demonstrate scientific and technological principles in an experiential, fun, and user-friendly way. Robot World was the premiere attraction at MadaTek, during the second half of 2010 and included a virtual playground by EyeClick. When you first enter Robot World, visitors encounter the Robot Zoo which displays huge colorful mechanical models of animals that cleverly represent key physiological features in a robotic form. Additionally, there are humanoid robots: Robo-thespian of England, Nao from France, and the charming robotic dog Sony Aibo. There are also industrial and domestic robots.

The EyePlay interactive playground was a favorite activity, especially for the younger visitors. EyePlay is a highly advanced video game platform with motion-activated games that kids can play with their entire body. Multiple players can run, jump twist and dance using their hands and feet to activate sounds and colorful graphics projected on the floor or wall.  One of the favorite effects was comprised of digital robotic bugs that scurried across the display. When users interacted with the bugs, a squash animation occurred which was reminiscent of a real bug encounter. The second display projected a pond with swimming robotic fish and a yellow submarine. When a visitor moved within the pool, the water splashed and created gentle waves while fish scattered out of the way.

The EyeClick exhibit has been a great success with visitors of all ages, with people enjoying it for long periods of time. The content is changed regularly to reflect the museum’s changing exhibit themes.
