RidgeLogic Development, a developer of digital signage software for single locations, announces that Chelsea Piers, a 28-acre sports and entertainment complex featuring state-of-the-art facilities for thirty different sports, located between piers 59 and 62 on the Hudson River in New York City, has expanded their usage of SceneStudio digital signage.

In the spring of 2008 Chelsea Piers deployed SceneStudio at their Golf Club and based on the positive reaction of members, guests and staff they recently expanded usage to the Ice Skating Rink and Health Club and plan to add it to their Field House soon. Each venue displays class schedules and the location of private parties to help people easily find their way. They also use a portion of the display to advertise venue-specific services and to enhance their brand.

“Chelsea Piers uses a custom script to update the class and event schedules automatically throughout the day”, says Jack Boyczuk, President of RidgeLogic. “It’s a great example of how our SceneStudio application can perform enterprise-class functions while maintaining a price point that make sense for a single display deployment.” “Scene Studio digital signage, along with our other technological aspects, is an important part of making our communications clear and accessible to all our guests and members.” says Ferdinand Lleshanaku, Chelsea Piers’ Director of Technology. “It also helps us meet our mission of providing state-of-the-art facilities along with cutting-edge programming and a commitment to being the best amateur sports and entertainment complex in the country.”
